The objectives of this study were: (1) To study the status of school-industry linkages in vocational education at plus two stage with reference to Teacher training, Identification of manpower needs, Student admission, Curriculum development, Sharing infrastructrure, Expert services, Practical on the job training, Evaluation of the students, Apprenticeship training, and Placement. (2) To study the effectiveness of school industry linkage in vocational education at plus two stage. (3) To study the problems of school-industry linkages. (4) To study the prospects (future) of school-industry linkages. (5) To study a model for effective school-industry linkages in vocational education at plus two stage.
The findings were: (1) The investigator observed through records
that most of the school authorities never try to send their teachers for
acquiring skill based vocational training in the particular trade and they
never try to collect reference material (literatrure) from big industries to
enrich their vocational teachers. (2) In Rajasthan as a whole and in all ranges
