The following were the objectives of the study: (1) To compare the Environmental Awareness of the postgraduate Male and Female students of M. D. University, Rohtak. (2) To compare the Environmental Awareness of the postgraduate Male and Female students of K. U. Kurukshetra. (3) To compare the Environmental Awareness of the postgraduate Male and Female students of H. A. University, Hisar. (4) To compare the Environmental Awareness of the postgraduate Male and Female students of G. J. University, Hisar. (5) To compare the Environmental Awareness of post-graduate Rural and Urban students of M. D. University, Rohtak. (6) To compare the Environmental Awareness of post-graduate Rural and Urban students of K. U. Kurukshetra. (7) To compare the Environmental Awareness of post-graduate Rural and Urban students of H. A. U. Hisar. (8) To compare the Environmental Awareness of post-graduate Rural and Urban students of G. J. University, Hisar. (9) To compare the implications of Environmental Awareness of the post-graduate Male and Female students of M. D. University, Rohtak. The sample consisted of 480 postgraduate students from four Universities of Haryana. The sample included of 120 postgraduate students from each University including Male, Female, Rural and Urban students.

The following tools were used: Questionnaire for determining- (a) Environmental Awareness, and (b) Implication of Environmental Awareness. The Questionnaires were prepared and standardized by the investigator.

The major findings of the study were: (1) There is a significant difference between the Environmental Awareness of the postgraduate Male and Female student of M. D. University, Rohtak. Female students are more aware than Male students. (2) There is a significant difference between the Environmental Awareness of the postgraduate Male and Female student of K. University, Kurukshetra. Female students are more aware than Male students. (3) There is a significant difference between the Environmental Awareness of the postgraduate Male and Female student of H.A. University, Hisar. Female students are more aware than Male students. (4) There is a significant difference between the Environmental Awareness of the postgraduate Male and Female student of G.J. University, Hisar. Female students are more aware than Male students. (5) There is significant difference between the Environmental Awareness of the postgraduate Rural and Urban students of M.D. University, Rohtak. This difference is in the favour of urban students. (6) There is significant difference between the Environmental Awareness of the postgraduate Rural and Urban students of K. University, Kurukshetra. This difference is in the favour of urban students. (7) There is significant difference between the Environmental Awareness of the postgraduate Rural and Urban students of H.A. University, Hisar. This difference is in the favour of urban students. (8) There is significant difference between the Environmental Awareness of the postgraduate Rural and Urban students of G.J. University, Hisar. This difference is in the favour of urban students. (9) There is significant difference between the implications of Environmental Awareness of the postgraduate Male and Female students of M.D. University, Rohtak. This difference is in the favour of Female students. (10) There is significant difference between the implications of Environmental Awareness of the postgraduate Male and Female students of K. University, Kurukshetra. This difference is in the favour of Male students. (11) There is significant difference between the implications of Environmental Awareness of the postgraduate Male and Female students of H.A. University, Hisar. This difference is in the favour of Male students. (12) There is significant difference between the implications of Environmental Awareness of the postgraduate Male and Female students of G.J. University, Hisar. This difference is in the favour of Male students. (13) There is significant difference between the implication of Environmental Awareness of the postgraduate Rural and Urban students of M.D.University, Rohtak. Urban students show better implications of Environmental Awareness than Rural students. (14) There is significant difference between the implication of Environmental Awareness of the postgraduate Rural and Urban students of K. University, Kurukshetra. Urban students show better implication of Environmental Awareness than Rural students. (15) There is significant difference between the implication of Environmental Awareness of the postgraduate Rural and Urban students of H.A. University, Hisar.  Urban students show better implication of Environmental Awareness than Rural students. (16) There is significant difference between the implication of Environmental Awareness of Hisar postgraduate Rural and Urban students of G.J. University, Hisar. Urban students show better implication of Environmental Awareness than Rural students. (17) There is little variation between the Environmental Awareness of the postgraduate student of M.D. University, Rohtak and K. University, Kurukshetra. This variation is in the favour of M.D. University, Rohtak students. (18) There is little variation between the Environmental Awareness of the postgraduate student of M.D. University, Rohtak and H.A. University, Hisar. This variation is in the favour of H.A. University, Hisar students. (19) There is little variation between the Environmental Awareness of the postgraduate student of M.D. University, Rohtak and G.J. University, Hisar. This variation is in the favour of M.D. University, Rohtak students. (20) There is little variation between the Environmental Awareness of the postgraduate student of K. University, Kurukshetra and H.A. University, Hisar. This variation is in the favour of H.A. University, Hisar students.
