The objectives of the study were: (1) To study the change in Value Judgment on Kindness of school children by Discussion of Value Dilemma presented through video mode. (2) To compare the Discussion Viewing Group and Discussion Participating Group in terms of gain in Value Judgment and Clarification on Kindness. (3) To study the change in Value Clarification and Justification of Value Decision on Kindness of school children by Discussion of Value Dilemma presented through Video Mode. (4) To compare Discussion Viewing Group and Discussion Participating Group in terms of Justification of decision on Kindness. (5) To compare the Reaction towards presenting Value Dilemma through Video Mode of Discussion Viewing Group and Discussion Participating Group.
Using Random Sampling, 870 school children were selected as sample.
The tools used were: Value Judgment Battery, Value Clarification Tests and Measurement, Value Justification Tests and Measurement and Reaction Towards Presenting Value Dilemmas presented through Video Mode Scale.
The major findings of the study were: (1) The Viewing of Discussion and Participation in the Discussion of Value Dilemma presented through Video Mode had significantly enhanced Value Judgment Factual Claim, Value Reasoning and Value criterion on Kindness of school children. (2) The Discussion Participating Group was significantly higher than the Discussion Viewing Group in terms of gain in Value Judgment Factual Claim, Value Reasoning and Value criterion on Kindness as well as on Value Clarification - Aspiration, Interest, Feeling and activity of Kindness. (3) Both the Viewing of Discussion and Participation in Discussion of Value Dilemma presented through Video Mode had significantly enhanced the Value, Clarification, Aspiration, Interest, Feeling and activity on Kindness of school children. (4) The Viewing of Discussion as well as Participation in the Discussion of Value Dilemma presented through Video Mode had significantly enhanced the Justification of Value Decision of schools children.
