(2) A pleasure seeking attitude of youngsters is a significant factor in drug habitation. (3) Family pathology is a significant factor for youngsters in drug habitation. (4) Low self-esteem of youngsters is a significant factor in drug habitation. (5) A tense or troubled personality state of youngsters is a significant factor for drug habitation. (6) Easy accessibility of drug makes youngsters significantly more prone towards drug habitation. (7) Peer group pressure is a significant factor in drug habitation for youngsters. (8) Youngsters with a strong desire for prestige seeking orientation make significant factor in drug habitation. (9) Social permissiveness for youngsters is a significant factor towards drug habitation. (10) Easy money accessibility makes youngsters significantly more prone towards drug habituation.
The sample comprised 240 students from different schools, district jail, and central jail of Agra selected by random purposive sampling technique.
Adjustment inventory by V.K. Mittal, Caste Study, Clinical Observation, Interview schedule, and Questionnaire were developed by researcher for data collection.
The research was experimental in nature. Experimental and Control groups were constructed by researcher.
The data were analyzed by frequency and chi-square technique.
The findings of the study were: (1) Emotional immaturity of youngsters was found to be a very significant factor in their drug habitation. (2) A pleasure-seeking attitude of youngsters was highly significant factor in drug habitation. (3) Family pathology was found to be very significant factor for youngsters for drug habitation. (4) Low self-esteem was found to be very significant factor for youngsters in leading towards drug habitation. (5) A tense or troubled state of youngsters easily dragged him towards drug habitation. (6) Easy drug accessibility made youngsters more prone towards drug habitation. (7) Peer group pressure was a very significant factor in drug habitation for youngsters. (8) A strong desire for prestige seeking orientation was a very significant factor in leading youngsters towards drug habitation. (9) The social permissiveness for youngsters was a very significant factor in driving them towards drug habitation. (10) Easy accessibility to money made youngsters significantly more prone to drug habitation.
