The objectives of study were: (1) To study the attitude of primary school lady teachers of public school towards issue of women. (2) To study the attitude of primary school lady teachers of private school towards issue of women. (3) To study the attitude of primary school lady teachers of aided school towards issue of women. (4) To study the attitude of primary school lady teachers of corporation school towards issue of women. (5) To study the attitude of married primary school lady teachers towards issue of women. (6) To study the attitude of unmarried primary school lady teachers towards issue of women. (7) To study the level of job satisfaction among primary school lady teachers of public school. (8) To study the level of job satisfaction among primary school lady teachers of private school. (9) To study the level of job satisfaction among primary school lady teachers of aided school. (10) To study the level of job satisfaction among primary school lady teachers of corporation school. (11) To study the level of job satisfaction among married primary school lady teachers. (12) To study the level of job satisfaction among unmarried primary school lady teachers. (13) To compare the attitude of primary school lady teachers of different type of school and marital status. (14) To compare the job satisfaction of primary school lady teachers of different type of school and marital status. (15) To study relationship between attitude of primary school lady teachers on issue of women and job satisfaction.
The hypotheses of study were: (1) There will be no significant difference between attitude of lady teachers on issues for women of different type of primary schools. (2) There will be no significant difference between attitudes of lady teachers on issues for women of different martial status. (3) There will be no significant difference in attitudes related to issues for women among lady teachers. (4) There will be no significant difference between levels of job satisfaction among lady teachers of different types of primary schools. (5) There will be no significant difference between levels of job satisfaction among lady teachers of different marital status. (6) There will be no significant difference in levels of job satisfaction among lady teachers. (7) There will be no significant relationship between attitudes on issues for women and level of job satisfaction.
The sample comprised of 400 Lady Teachers from Kanpur and Unnao. It was selected with the help of Purposive cum Random Sampling Technique.
Issues Measurement Scale by R. Gupta, Job Satisfaction Scale by Pramod Kumar and Personal Data Sheet developed by Researcher were used for data collection.
Ex – Post Facto cum Field Study Method was used in Research.
The data were analyzed with the help of ANOVA, Correlation and Critical Ratio.
The findings of study were: (1) Among all the eight group of lady teachers A1B2 (unmarried public school) are highest on mean score of first issue (education / status / role liberation) and lowest are A3B1 (married aided school) teachers. (2) Among all the eight group of lady teachers A1B1 (married public school teachers) are highest on mean score of second issue (economic problem money budget saving assets concerning women) and lowest are A2B2 (unmarried private school) lady teachers. (3) Among eight groups A2B1 (unmarried private school) teachers are highest on mean score of third issue (marriage and dowry concerning women) and lowest one are unmarried corporation school A4B2. (4) Among eight groups of teachers A1B2 are highest on mean score of fourth issue (career & employment concerning women) and lowest area A3B1. (5) Among eight groups of teachers A1B1 are highest on mean score of fifth issue (family planning and the importance of male child concerning women) and lowest one are A4B2 (Unmarried corporation school) teachers. (6) The married teachers are more satisfied with their job than unmarried teachers. (7) The teachers of public school are more satisfied with their job than all remaining three groups. (8) The teachers of corporation schools are minimum satisfied with their job. Interaction does not influence job satisfaction. (9) Personal variable age and family size separately has no significant relationship with all the issues and job satisfaction except issues – 4 has shown negative relationship with separately age and family size. (10) Personal variable, education has no significant relationship with majority of issues and job satisfaction except issue 2 & 3 has shown positive relationship. (11) Personal variable, family structure has no significant relationship with majority of issues and job satisfaction except issue 5 has shown positive relationship. (12) Length of service has no significant relationship with issue 2, 3 & 5 and job satisfaction except issue 1 & 4 has shown positive relationship with length of service. (13) Issues 2, 4 and 5 have highly significant relationship with job satisfaction. (14) Issue 3 has significant relationship and issue 1 has no significant relationship with job satisfaction.
