The following were the research questions of the study:-

1.      What are the realms of tribals and their education?

2.      Does the tribal societal specificity need a particular education system different from the multi-castes and ethnic regional society surrounding the tribals? 

The Bhil tribal population of Rajasthan constitute the population of the study.

Purposive random sampling technique was adopted by taking Bhil’s population for the study.

24 schools were selected out of which 16 are run by Government, 6 are Ashram schools and 2 missionary ones. 

Observation schedule was developed by the investigator.

Historical research method was used for this study. The nature of enquiry is empirical.

The empirical and statistical analysis along with historical explanation was used for data analysis. 

It was found that:

            The response given by the tribals is not on a uniform  pattern and drop-outs among tribals are higher from the strata  which are relatively poor, which are land-labourers and wage earners. There were few activities observed by the big schools. It was also found in study that services in government department can only be had by getting education. The tribal educated boys prefer to enter the govt. Job of a teacher, a revenue officer or a police constable. They are in various degrees competing with non-tribals.

The new model of education, syllabus with various activities, methodologies of education, technology, mass media etc. will hasten up the integration of tribal students with their non-tribal counter-parts by these wide structural transformation.
