Objectives of the study:
To identify the measures of reducing the stress of examination.
To assess the option of examination to be held at class- X or XII levels.
To practice continuous and comprehensive evaluation.
To organize the teaching- learning process on activity based and joyful.
To continue with written or restrict to ral examination.
To introduce individual evaluation system or continue with the present group evaluation.
To know the readiness of the learners for appearing in the examinations.
To assess how far the objective based, open book examination and rote memorization reduce the tensions of examinations.
To ascertain from the guardian about the self-study, improving behavioral habits and performances etc of their children at home.
To get acquainted with satisfaction of examination, the impact of the results and performance of their wards.
To assess and analyze the stress factors of the examination as perceived by the teachers and suitable measures for remedy thereof.
Hypothesis of the study:
Class IX students are feeling tension, stress and pressure of the first final (public) examination supposed to take place at Class X.
Stress and tension create conflict in mind and even lead to commit suicide.
Regular self study at home, attending regular classes doing home and class work taking tips from the teachers and guardians are a few dynamic measures to reduce stress of examination.
Unnecessary loads of contents teaching effect the mental and the physical health of the learners.
Fear and pressure are necessary to make the learners study.
Regular study and continuous preparation are useful measures of reducing examination stress.
Sample of the study:
Data were collected from 276 students, 58 guardians and 60 teacher.
Tools Used:
Three sets of questionnaires for the teachers, guardians and students.

Findings of the study:
Seeing the examination conditions and situations faced by their seniors of class X, the students of class IX seem to be under tension, stress and pressure. The teachers and guardians also agrees that the students are stressful, tensed with extra pressure.
The stress and tension create conflict in mind and even lead to commit suicide.
Regular self-study, attending classes, doing home and class work and receiving guidance from the guardians and teachers reduce examination stress.
