The objectives of study were: (1) To study teacher’s encouraging behavior in the classroom. (2) To study the student’s participative behavior in the classroom. (3) To study parent’s encouraging behavior at home.
The sample has been drawn from two countries, namely, India and Jordon. In India, the sample was drawn from Baroda City and in Jordan the sample was drawn from Irbid City. The investigator uses his own judgment in selecting the most appropriate cases. While selecting samples from Baroda, the schools with English medium are considered only. And from Irbid City, the schools with Arabic medium are considered as all the schools are Arabic medium. In the present study, there are four types of samples units- schools, students, teachers and parents.
The three checklists are developed on five point rating scale as tool. The study adopts survey design. It was Cross Cultural study.The data were analyzed through content analysis.
The findings of study were: (1) There is a significant relationship between management skill of teachers and students involvement in learning activities in Baroda and Irbid city schools. (2) There is a good relationship between teacher’s attending behavior and students’ involvement in learning activities in Baroda and Irbid city schools. (3) There is a significant relationship between reinforcement and rewarding involvement in learning activities in Baroda and Irbid city schools. (4) There is a significant relationship between teacher’s direction and checking behavior and student’s involvement in learning activities in Baroda and Irbid city schools.
