The objectives of the present study are:
1.
To produce an
illustrated resource book.
2.
To enable Biology
teachers to identify and use the plants effectively.
The whole Flora of Madhya Pradesh constitutes the population of the
study.
As a sample the flora of Bhopal region was taken.
Descriptive and Survey research method was adopted for this study.
The findings of this study are as follows:
A list of some
useful and exampler plants useful to Biology teachers were given along with
their Family name and Common Name. In this resource book, more than 120 plants
have been identified and described along with diagrams. Also, list of plants
with common names which are often cited in different textbooks are also given.
This study has educational implications as it will act as resource book
for Biology teachers and Students, student-teachers who have pedagogy of
biological science as well, even for the lecturer and teachers at college
level.
