Statistical techniques such as t-Test and analysis of variance were used for analyzing the data of the study.
The findings of this study were: (1) The split-half reliability and the test-retest reliability of all AAT are 0.6192 and 0.765 respectively. This test also has good face validity, content validity and constructs validity. (2) The male and female students of Secondary classes of Rajasthan do not differ significantly in terms of verbal creativity and its components except the ability of elaboration where the difference between male and female is significant. (3)Near about half of the total Secondary students of Rajasthan (46.8%) came under the broad category of global field perceptual performers of field dependent cognitive style. On the other hand less than ΒΌ of the total students (22.78%) possess analytical field perceptual performance or field independent cognitive style, and the remaining percentage (30.43%) of students possess average field central cognitive style.
