The objectives of study were: (1) To find out the child performance for various TV programmes. (2) To know the impact of economic background and the development of affective behaviour due to viewing of television. (3) To find out the effect on receptivity in association with television. (4) To know the impact of TV on child’s behaviour in the school environment. (5) To find out the effect of TV on emotional behaviour of children. (6) To identify the affective behaviours carried over by the children by viewing TV. (7) To know about the effect of TV over the affective behaviour at different ages of children. (8) To provide relevant measures for inculcating better affective behaviours in children.
Sample comprised of 75 children between 2 – 8 years of urban area of Jhansi City.Interview Schedule for Parents A’, Opinionnaire about programmes for Children B’, Observation Schedule for Teachers C’ and Observation Schedule for Investigator developed by Researcher were used for data collection.
The study was Descriptive in nature.
The reliability of A’, C’ & D’ by Test – Retest Method were 0.8, 0.88 and 0.78 respectively. The data were analyzed by Mean, SD and Correlation.Keyword(s): Audio Visual, Mass Media, Students Behaviour, Affective Domain
